This building is used as a set in a number of films and as the ‘Real Exotic Marigold Hotel’ in the films of that name.
It is located deep in the countryside in Mavli some 50 Km from Udaipur, 270 Km from Puskar and 350 Km from Jaipur.
Not only is it a film set, but operates as a charismatic hotel where guests are made very welcome and the owners breed Marwari horses.
These award winning horses can be identified by their distinctive ears and are famous for their agility, strength and beauty.
Marwari horses were ideal warhorses but faced extinction in the 1950s so the breading program here is vital to their survival.
