The Rose Bowl, known as the Ageas Bowl because of the sponsorship, is the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club since 2001 when it was constructed to replace the previous ground in Southampton, which had been its home since 1885.
To be able to host international Test cricket matches redevelopment was started in 2009 and the ground was sold to Eastleigh Borough Council in January 2012 when the Hampshire County Cricket Club found itself in financial difficulties.
