The Kia Oval is an international cricket ground in Kennington, London, and is the home of the Surrey County Cricket Club.
Traditionally, the final Test match of the English season is played at The Oval and it hosted the first Test match in 1880.
The Kennington Oval is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and was originally a market garden.
The Surrey County Cricket Club was established in 1845 and the original lease for the ground signed 10th March 1845.
The ground is noted to have had the first floodlights at a sports arena with gas lamps installed in 1889.
